About the Bible:
We believe the Bible is the complete and final authoritative Word of God, which is inerrant and completely sufficient to guide and teach us in all aspects of life. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:21) Click here to listen to a teaching on what we believe about the Bible.
About God:
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three distinct yet perfectly united persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30)
About Jesus Christ:
We believe in the deity of Christ (John 1:1&14, John 10:33), that He was born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35), that He was tempted in all things yet was without sin (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26), we believe that He died on the cross bearing the sins of the world upon Himself (Philippians 2:8, 1 Corinthians 15:3, Hebrews 2:9), that He conquered sin and death by raising from the grave three days later, appearing to many (John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4), and then He ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), and we believe that He will return to the earth in power, glory and victory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-16).
About Salvation:
We believe that all are in need of salvation because of the inherent sin nature of humanity that leaves no one sinless, that God cannot accept sin in to His presence making it impossible for imperfect man to inter the presence of God on his own merit. We believe that by the grace of God, the Holy Spirit will regenerate any one who will come to Jesus in repentance, putting their faith in Him as Lord and Savior and that salvation can be attained no other way. (John 3:16-19, John 5:24, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5)
About the Holy Spirit:
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit indwelling the believer and enabling him to live a godly life (Romans 8:13, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20). We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to believers for the edifying of the Body of Christ (the Church) and for the glorifying of God. (Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11)
About the Church:
We believe that the true church consists of all who are in Christ around the world, that Jesus is the head of the church and that He desires to have unity amongst all believers (Romans 12:4-5, 1 Corinthians 1:10, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Ephesians 4:1-6, 5:23). We believe that the distinct characteristic of each believer should be the agape love of God manifesting outwardly in our conduct in this world. (1 John 4:16-17)
